Continuing Education Explanation

Continuing education requirements as of 12/31/2025

12 CEs are required for renewal and must be completed by February 28 each year (or February 29th leap years). All CE must be sponsored by a state or national association or a chiropractic school accredited by the CCE. Each course will have an approval number that looks similar to: KBCE#XXXX

All 12 hours can be done in-person or online, as long as they are approved by the chiropractic board of examiners.

There is no in-state requirement.

License information

Chiropractic licenses renew every March 1st on an annual basis.

Currently, the renewal fee is $250.

There is a 45 days grace period, which includes an additional $300 fine on top of the renewal fee.

Peer Reviewers

Peer reviewers renew their peer reviewer license no later than June 1st on an annual basis. There is no grace period.

Each registered peer reviewer must complete 6 hours of continuing education annually that is approved specifically for peer reviewers. There is no in-state requirement for peer reviewers. All 6 hours can be done online. The 6 hours must be in addition and different than the general education requirements.
